Air Drop stuck on 'Waiting'

I could not get Air Drop to transfer photos from my iPhone to my MacBook Air, I

looked at the different solutions offered in the communities. Finally I went into blocked numbers/messages and found all my email addresses and phone number had been added to the block list... I have no idea how this could have happened. Once I removed the block Air Drop started working again. Has anybody ran into this scenario ?

When I accept, I can't find the file on iCloud. I've had to resort to emailing myself to get my file. I have the current iOS and OS on my devices.
