Mac Safari won't load LinkedIn, Chrome does

Lately the loading of LinkedIn in Safari is unstable. Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't and just gives me a plain white screen in the browser. Every other website works perfectly in Safari, only LinkedIn is dead. Chrome doesn't have any problems loading LinkedIn, so it is not a network issue. I have updated OSX.

OSX Monterey 12.1

Safari 15.2 (no extensions active)

In Safari > Preferences > Websites, I allowed LinkedIn to do everything it wants.

I saw another post by dominic23 (Jun 10, 2021 8:53 AM), suggesting a bunch of tips. I did them all to no avail.

Anyone??

Check this page (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212614) to see how to turn the iCloud AAA BBB on. If you know how to switch it on, you also know how to switch it OFF (recommended to use LinkedIn on Safari).

"I hope you don't mind me thinking otherwise. I did exactly the same in Chrome, and in that browser there's no problem. And other websites in Safari are also working perfectly. So it must be the combination Safari/LinkedIn...."

No worries. Looking for differences between browsers is what prompted me to think about extensions. With Webex, I can see where the extension is tied to the app. I just didn't know what the other ones on your list were.

Look under Safari > Preferences > Privacy and try turning off the Prevent cross-site tracking and Hide IP address from trackers options to see if that makes any difference.

I think I found it. I stumbled upon a new privacy method Apple implemented. I switched it off just now. LinkedIn is working, and surfing seems to have increased in response speed. Just wait and see for a few days if the problem stays away.

Funny thing: this is my 2nd attempt to post this. My first posting about this method was brutally removed by Apple saying "We removed your post because it contained information about ZETA software." (replace Z with B to get my drift). Apparently we're not supposed to do that. Strange that I'm not allowed to talk about that here.

Do you like puzzling? The name of the method = iCloud AAA BBB.

AAA = The word you are looking starts with 'pri' and ends with 'vate'

BBB = Synonym for Transfer

Hahaha

"Anything else I could try?" Probably. However I am pretty much at a loss to tell you what that would be.

When you go to LinkedIn, are you clicking a bookmark, typing in the URL, or what? You said it works sometimes, Just wondering if it makes a difference, for you, as to the page you land on.

You said "uncheck all extensions". Which do you have installed?

"I think I found it." - Good deal. Hope that keeps your issues gone for good.

Interestingly, your first (deleted) post still hit my email as a reply. As such, I could see what you wrote. A bit dismayed when I clicked the link, to pop into the forum, only to find no posting to be found!

At any rate, I likewise has some issues with this new feature of which we cannot speak! I was trying to setup an app on my smart TV that required me to log in on my phone. With that new feature enabled, the site was convinced that I was not in the correct geographic location for their service. It took me about 10 minutes to figure out what was going on.

I cannot get onto LinkedIn from my 2019 MacBook Pro. I have tried clearing cache, history, etc.

Ironically, I can get on using safari using my older 2015 iMac.

I HIGHLY ADVISE ANYONE NOT TO BUY THESE NEWER MACBOOKS - I have had zillions of problems with mine.

Linkedin not working on this computer just further makes me want to give up on Apple completely. It makes no sense.

All same Safari settings on MacBook Pro, iMac, iPhone, iPad. The MacBook Pro is the only device that freezes.
