I own my daughters Iphine but it is not showing on my list of iPhones

My daughters iPhone has her own Apple ID but I own the phone and family sharing is on- however he phone is not listed on my iPhone - is that because she has her own Apple ID? And if so, how do I change this so that I have visibility?

Yes, it will only show on her account because it uses her Apple ID. Each user should have their own Apple ID. No additional visibility is gained from removing her ID and using yours instead, except to see the phone in your list of devices.
