Microsoft Outlook for Mac unable to search in Monterey 12.1

I have a MacBook Air with latest Monterey 12.1 (nothing newer available) using Microsoft Outlook for Mac vers 16.55 and can't see anything in search from today going back 3 months.


Have tried reindexing Spotlight search with all libraries no effect. This is no way to run a railroad. Seems like a Microsoft issue more than Apple?
