Where is the "shared with you" section in imessage on macbook air m1

I have friends who share photos and videos with me and I can see them all if I go to my iPhone when I click their name I can see Photos and hit see all and they are all there.

But sometimes I am working and use iMessage on my macbook air m1 and I don't have the same option to see photos of what people sent me unless I go scrolling through the message which is cumbersome. Also, when I open the Photos app on my macbook air m1 I don't see any of my imessage photos nor vidoes, only the photos or videos that I have actually taken and uploaded. How do I see the imessage photos and videos of my friends from within the imessage app on my macbook air m1 v12.0.1 Monteray? Thanks.

Hi mo3reece, We appreciate you reaching out to us. We understand that you would like to view the shared photos and videos on the Messages app of your MacBook Air. Also, you would also like to see the shared photos on the Photos app.

Have you had the chance to open a conversation, then click the "I" icon on the upper right-hand corner of the Messages window?

In most cases, a pop-up window will appear and there is a section there that shows the photos that are within that conversation.

Also, we recommend that you try the steps under the "Set up Shared Albums on your Mac" section in the article below.
