I received an Apple Watch series 7 for Christmas, it is running 8.3. Every time that I put my watch on the charger disk the screen lights up and cycles between the login and home screen and it chimes every second. Is there anyway to fix this?
It seems to be caused by the charger I was using. I did not have a way to plug in the usb-c that came with my watch so I was using an after market charger. I have a slot on my computer for the usb-c so that is the way I have been charging my watch.

I'm having the same issue with my new series 7 watch, but it only started after an OS upgrade.
I tried the above 'forced reset' , but it did not fix my watch.
Help!
I want to add that while this is happening, the watch is not charging!
Update - new USB-C 'fast charge' charger fixed my issue.
