storage

i had originally bought a used iphone with 256gb storage, after transfering all my data and apple id from my old phone to this new one, i have 5gb storage just like my old phone and am running out of space already, im kinda confused as to what happened? could somebody please tell me whats going on?

You may be looking at iCloud storage, which is 5GB by default. To see how much storage you have on your iPhone, go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage. Your iPhone storage and iCloud storage are two different locations; iPhone storage is on the iPhone and iCloud storage is on Apple servers.
