Refund and settings allowing my 8 year old to spend all money!!
Hello the other day my son who is 8 years old managed to spend around £150 on app purchaseS, I don’t know how but it allows him to buy all these things with no information given or shown to us that after you put the password in once it Then allows you to buy more and more things until you literally run out of money!
tjis happens to us and we now cannot afford food or electricity or fuel for the car which we will need next week to get the children to school and back!!
So we’ve tried to get a refund for sll
the purchases he’s made but for the more expensive ones such as £44 3 or 4 times of this, they have said we are not eligible for a refund,’so I’ve raised it again explaining that we now don’t have money for food and electricity etc etc.
Is there anyone who knows about this and what are our chances of getting the rest of the money back?
it seems a bit funny how they will refund the smaller purchases but not the more expensive ones such as £44?!
I didn’t know that you can buy things on apps without putting in the password, my husband has changed the settings so that you have to put the password every time but it feels like they set you up to fail
by not making it clear that this can happen and the password doesn’t have to be entered every time. Are there anymore things that I need to be aware of? Anymore settings I need to change so this never happens again? And will I get my money back, will i have to go to
the bank to try and get some money back or will apple sort it out for us?
