Help Updating my Apple TV
I received an Apple TV for Christmas and having trouble updating it. the ios is at a 10. How do I get it updated ?

The system software of the Apple TV HD is referred to as tvOS. (iOS is for iPhone and iPod Touch.)
tvOS 10 is pretty old. That unit hasn’t been updated in ~4.5 years!
Try doing a “reset and update”. New users should reset the device anyway, so that is a good combination.
