sharingd wants to use the "login" keychain

Got a bizarre popup - sharingd wants to use the "login" keychain.

It is asking me to enter my keychain password.

Is this legit? Did I get hacked?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Did you get hacked? Most likely not.

What is sharingd? sharingd is a daemon process that enables AirDrop, Handoff, Instant Hotspot, Shared Computers, and Remote Disk in the Finder. If you use any of these services, then this process is involved. Some of these activities requires permissions.

As such, typically, you would store passwords, among other things, in the macOS Keychain. This pop up is asking you for your permission to access that Keychain.
