IOS 15.1 no longer lets you name group chats?

I loved being able to compose a text to two or more contacts, then being able to name that group something so I always knew who I was messaging. With the new iOS 15.1 it is gone or hidden behind some extra clicks I don't know about.

Old way is here https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211301, and still on Apple's website. Why was this changed?

The new photos and links I've sent to the group is not needed.
