Battery

hi guys! is it normal for your iphone to drain battery faster after you’ve had it for 2 years? mine seems to be dying faster, and i’ve had it a little over 2 years. but it lasts most of the day without needing a charge (and i’m gonna be honest, i’m on it a lottt)

Being "on it a lottt", it seems accurate.

What is the Battery Health of your iPhone? Open Settings Battery Battery Health and let us know which percentage you see for Maximum Capacity. Also note what is written under Peak Performance. If your battery's Maximum Capacity shows a value of 80% or less, then it has gone through its lifecycle and therefore should be replaced, according to Apple.

With every full cycle battery charge it's ability to hold the same charge as new diminishes. So yes, a two year old battery will never have the same capacity a brand new battery held.

When the Battery Health of your battery dips to 80% or less, it will then be time to consider having the battery replaced by Apple in your iPhone. To check it's health, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health
