Erasing content

So I moved on from a iPhone 7 to an 11, I transferred all my data, photos, contacts, apps and everything to my new phone. Now I want to erase all content from my old phone. Will doing that mess up all my data on my new phone?

iPhone 11, iOS 15

If you go to Erase all content and settings on the device, no it won't. But if you start manually deleting things, like photos, that could impact your current device if you are using iCloud Photo Library. If you are sure everything is transferred, go to SETTINGS - GENERAL - and scroll to the bottom. Depending on your OS the options may vary, but look for erase all content and settings.
