I started my 2011macbook pro as above, chose and entered password for WiFi and then got an exclamation sign on the globe with -21 00D under it. What do I do now?

I had put the MacBook into sleep mode, went out for longer than expected and the battery died while in sleep mode. Since then I cannot boot, I can choose user and enter password and the loading bar goes to 100% but then it’s stuck there.

I’ve tried using the Disk Utility and fixing the disks which said that everything was ok.

I just started in diagnostic mode and logged into the WiFi and that’s it. There is now an exclamation mark on the globe with apple.com/support and -21 00D underneath the globe.

how do I get into my MacBook?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.12
