Dumb question I’m sure. Apparently I need to convert my old phone’s SIM to an eSIIM on my new phone so I can text and call. Does that involve having to remove/install anything on the new phone?

iphones have been using nano-sim cards since iphone5

you can just put in your old sim unless it's an iphone4s or older

you can choose to sign up the esim with another carrier if you so wish, this is usually a thing people who travel a lot would wish
