It tells me that Screen recording is not available when AirPlay, CarPlay, Restrictions, or Sree mirroring is active. I have checked over and over and I don't know where the problem is.
I get a screen with choices... Photos, Gmail, Skype, Til Tok... Why only those options???????

Actually it likely did. Did you not see the small print - " Some apps might not allow you to record audio. You can't record your screen and use screen mirroring at the same time."
If it doesn't work on anything, use the Get Support button at the top of this page and seek help from Apple. Screen recording works in situations where its supposed to on my iPhone 13 Pro Max.
You didn't answer my question. Those instructions don't answer my question. If it did, I wouldn't be here.
