I live up in the Northern Virginia area and have used the Reston Town Center Store for all my Apple needs. I had 3 Genius Bar appointments cancel this week and ave since discovered all the Apple Store within reasonable distances are Closed? All seem to be closed to at least 5 Jan 2022? What is going on?

If you pick up a copy of the Washington Post you will find that the Apple Stores in the area, along with restaurants, coffee shops and other businesses, are closing due to staffing shortages due to omicron.

Sorry. I just thought someone might have info or knowledge of any issues. I have searched and searched and cannot find any info. So just hoping someone might be able to steal me to info or even help a little on my search efforts.
