Can't sign in to App Store on my phone

When I try to update an app I can't sign it to the store on my phone. It doesn't accept my passwords and doesn't allow me to change to the alternate ID. (I still have an old original ID for the store but would like to get rid of it.)

Delete and redownload the application you're trying to update. The other Apple ID is stored inside it.
