"Z" button doesn't work

Hi,

I'm experiencing an issue related to "Z" button.

The main problem is that "Z" letter sometimes doesn't respond to its button, meaning after pushing "Z" button "Z" letter doesn't pull up.

The issue occurs very irregularly.
Restarting a computer doesn't help.
"Z" letter pulls up when I use an external keyboard (Magic Keyboard is that matters).

Another problem is presented on the screenshot below, so as you can see there is the prompt after I write in "Z" letter, but I can't precise how and when it happens (I think the prompt pops up after a short moment automatically, so there isn't my participation).

The above issue also appears pretty frequently after I open a lid, but moving my finger thru the keyboard so random buttons are pressed usually helps.

Apart from that I have also an impression that a writing indicator (that vertical line that pulses) while writing something changes its position between lines but I might be wrong at all.

My another feeling is that there might be some crumb under the "Z" button, but it should move after shaking (gently) my computer I guess.

What can I do? Maybe cleaning they keyboard with compressed air would help?

I just have noticed that the issue from the main post's screenshot (with the diacritics) appears while I press "Z" button longer – it also appears while I press other buttons that can create diacritics in my language too (like "A, O, N", etc.).

What is interesting is that I lost ability to add alphanumerical (letters and number but no punctuation marks as these are added properly) characters fast on repeat even if the preferences claims differently (the screenshot below). I bet it's because my keyboard shows the diacritics prompt instead of adding characters fast.

I restarted my computer and on the log in screen I was able to write fast on repeat and "Z" button worked.

But after I logged in I couldn't write both "Z" and fast on repeat. Additionally this is what I saw right after I launched Safari – it was the only thing I did, launched Safari, and didn't write anything too.

Well, this thread is becoming my diary. Hope it'll help other people.

So for now I was able to dismiss the diacritics/accents pop up by pasting this common into Terminal app and hitting "return" button.

defaults write -g ApplePressAndHoldEnabled -bool false

So I need to fix the "Z" button issue...
