Hi, I’ve recently recorded a 3 hour dj mix in a wav file. I wanted to convert the file into AAC but the latest iTunes does not recognize it. How do I fix this? All other music players including Winamp, foobar2000 & the likes have no problems reading it.

Ok. I just converted the wav into AAC @192kbs with Foobar2000. But now iTunes cannot read this newly converted aac audio file. I reinstalled iTunes and even tried it on a different computer. Still no luck. Could it be because the audio file is too long?(3 hours)
iCloud Music Library (Apple Music/iTunes Match) has a limit of two hours or 200Mb. I haven't heard of a limit for iTunes itself, but it is always possible this has been implemented at some point without any public documentation.

If iTunes doesn't want to work with the file there is no way to force it to do so. Use some other software to perform the conversion. Audacity for example.

I just wanted to add this file into my iPhone using iTunes but I’m guessing the audio is too long. That’s probably why iTunes doesn’t recognize it.
