You'll find the link to the macOS Mojave 10.14.6 installer here. Use Safari and it will open a page in the App Store. Check the compatibility list first to see if your Mac can support Mojave. Make a backup before the upgrade.

The Age of this computer will Govern what newer version of macOS it will Qualify to install. Use About this Mac from the Apple Icon on Desktop - the required Information will be there.

With the above information in-hand - follow this How to get old versions of macOS and verify what version this computer Qualifies to install.  For Best results use Safari to commence the download as Others may not work.

Safari will open a redirect and open the Apple Store where the download can commence

Make Time Machine Backup  is very useful and can be used to Revert to Previous Working macOS

Are there any AntiVirus, Disk Cleaner, Optimizers, Un-installers, etc installed which should be removed as per Developers Instructions. They are useless, unneeded, cause havoc and interfere with the normal  operation of the OS and may even Corrupt the OS requiring a Reinstallation

If you get a corrupted message...

Naw, not damaged, it's just that you have an old copy already in Applications, there are 2 cures...

Disconnect from the Internet & set the Date back to 2014, then you can run the Install MacsOS Mohave App in Applications, so expired Certificates are not expired.

Or... trash the Install MacsOS Mojave.app in Applications, empty trash & restart, then a new copy of a more recent version can be downloaded..

I've verified that this computer qualifies for the update to Mojave and I dowloaded the 10.14.6 installer (not the combo version) and I still get a message that the install requires version 10.4.

This is a mac mini currently running version 10.13.6, 8GB of memory, over 900 GB of available storage.

The computer has been running very slow for some time and was taken in to the Apple store for a check up a month ago. They found no issues and returned it without doing an update.

Are there any other options?

Since the previous posting from learned colleague has already supplied the Tech Details for qualifying Computer for Mojave can one supply a Screen Shot of the About this Mac and post it back in reply.

Further, I can not download Mojave on this computer as it is too new - I do see in the Apple Store Mojave and the files size is about 35 MB ( Yes MB) so it looks like Apple is offering what we call a Stub Installer.

What this means once this Stub Installer is executed - it will call to the Apple Servers to pull the Full Version of Mojave. Perhaps my colleague can define the size more correctly of the full Version of Mojave but think is would be about 7 - 9 GB ( yes GB ) in size.

I need to upgrade to Mohave in order to use intuit turbo tax. I get this message after downloading from the app store.

"This copy of the Install macOS Mojave application is damaged, and can‘t be used to install macOS." I have older software that I use frequently in my business that can't be upgraded so I would like to install 10.14 which also is needed to up grade to Mohave 10.14.6.

How do I find a copy of an installer for 10.14 only?
