My watch has not been paired to my phone for months and I’m trying to pair it back but it’s not working

Ok my phone is updating now so once I do that then I need to update my watch for it to pair again
iPhone XR it’s been updated and when I go to the watch app to pair again it says unable to pair. I try to pair manually and it’s nothing popping up
So my watch need to updated is what you saying I tried to pair before I updated my phone and it still didn’t do it.
still no luck on my watch is paired with my phone I have done everything updated phone and watch at least and my watch is not showing that it is paired.
The apple watch 3 GPS only has only 8GB of internal storage, most of that is taken up by the operating system and other critical software with not much space left for the update.So installing or even pairing to an ios14 or ios15 phone is proving nearly impossible for just about all the watch 3 users on this forum.
The same applies to Apple watch 1 and 2 they are almost impossible to either pair or update with an ios 14 or ios15 phone.
Your best bet is to call in at an apple store and ask them to update it for you.
What model of phone is it and what version of ios is it running?

What errror messages are you receiving?.
If your watch has been unpaired for months then there will be an update for it,and to get the update your phone needs to be running ios15.
Yes,when you try to pair the watch you will be informed that there is an update and that's where the problems seem to begin.
