How do you remove a folder from the cloud without deleting it and keep it out of the cloud?

On your Mac, go to Finder and move the folder from iCloud Drive (Finder "Go" menu > iCloud Drive) to a location that is not synced with iCloud (e.g., to your Home folder).

Move the folder to a location that isn't synced. Perhaps your home folder or the downloads folder.
