Activation lock

I bought an iwatch off eBay and the seller hasn’t deregistered it on there end so we can’t use it?

As is, you can't. Ask the seller to remove the lock or give you a refund, or ask eBay for a refund.

That's correct, you cannot use the watch. Activation Lock can only be removed by the actual person who put the lock on to begin with. If whoever actually owned the watch didn't remove Activation Lock, or they can't, or you can't actually reach them, the watch is useless to you. Apple won't help you. We can't help you. eBay is one of the absolute worst places on the planet to purchase a used iOS device on. Many are stolen devices, which the person who sold the device knew couldn't be used.


If you can't get the actual owner to remove the lock, get your money back. If you can do neither, recycle the watch appropriately.
