Safari is part of macOS. Your macOS version is 10.12, which means your Mac can be upgraded to at least 10.13, and possibly newer.

Please post your MacBook Pro model year (available from 🍎 > About This Mac ) and we can tell you your upgrade options, and about any wrinkles.

Have complete and current backups prior to any upgrade.
