Spectrum app for Apple tv

I have an Apple TV (not the 4K just the HD) and have the Spectrum App that I use often. I have not been able to figure out how to look at program information without the channel changing. If I look at future times I can see show information. But if it is 6pm and I want to compare content on shows at 6pm the guide changes channels without a way to look at information first. I cannot figure out how to view show information for the current time without the app guide just changing the channel. Help!
