The HP support page appears to show drivers for even older operating system versions only.

An HP Deskjet F4100 series (version 4.0.5) driver is mentioned in the article Printer and scanner drivers for Mac - Apple Support. HP 5.1.1 Printer Software Update can be found at https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1888?locale=en_US . If necessary, you may want to check whether this package possibly contains something useful. As always, make sure that you have backup copies of all important files (documents, photos, et cetera) before testing anything.

go to HP web site and under support look up that printer to determine if there are compatible driver software offered.
