If I print this page - HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw - the fonts come out screwy - a lot of vertical lines, unreadable! A problem since I'm about to erase my Mac, so need these instructions!!!! Printer has worked fine on previous Mac.

Current MacBook Pro M1, Monterey 12.0.1. Previously used old MacBook about 10.15.x with no issues.

MacBook Pro (2020 and later)

That is not a Postscript-cable printer. In most cases, that Printer relies on imaging performed in the computer to create complex printed images.

Hp has dropped real support for this printer, BUT: they continue to offer AirPrint support.

They recommend you install and use HP Easy Start to find the printer and install a workable basic driver for it.
