I can't find my iPad in iTunes

My iPad is locked and I don't know the passcode and I have connected it to iTunes and I have the restore screen on my iPad but my iPad is not showing on the iTunes page,

Have you tried using a different cable to connect to your computer to see if that changes anything? In addition to trying a different cable, let's confirm that you're up to date with the latest iTunes version. For help with that, check out the following resource:


Update to the latest version of iTunes


If you see that you do have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer, let's work through each of the steps of the following resource to try to clear this up:


If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod
