How can I get my Face ID to work again

Apple Support didn’t help me at all. I’ve gotten the runaround for the last week. I carried it to the local Apple repair center. The tech told me that the phone could not be repaired, it would need to be replaced and I would need to get back in touch with Apple????? After multiple diagnostic tests that verify the Face ID is not working, they referred me back to Verizon where I purchased the brand new phone on December 22nd. Verizon says it’s Apples responsibility. If you have the choice, don’t purchase Apple. Long time Apple and Verizon customer here. No loyalty whatsoever.
