I have an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014). Is it running 32 MHz? Can it run 64 MHz?

Does my iMac default to 32 MHz?

Do you mean 32-bit and 64-bit?

A 2014 iMac will run both 32-bit and 64-bit applications if it is running macOS Mojave or earlier. If it is running Catalina, Big Sur or Monterey, it will only run 64-bit applications.

A late 2014 iMac can be upgraded to the latest version of Big Sur macOS 11 but no later. See: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211683
