Adding AirTags
Besides family, I only track three items, phone, watch and AirPods. When connecting first AirTag it tells me maximum number of devices has been met. What is the limit and/or how do I work through this?

I don't have the error in front of me, but it referenced that idea that I'd already reached the maximum number of items. (I since learned that there is a limit of 16?) Even though I was still below that number, including people and devises, it still gave the error.
I've since been able to bypass, by 'forgetting' my AirPods. Then I was allowed to add AirTags and I've since re-added the AirPods. Would think this is something Apple would want to remedy.
CODukeFan,
Thanks for the additional details. We'd recommend reaching out to Apple Support from here for additional assistance.
Take care.
Hi CODukeFan,
We see when attempting to activate an AirTag, you're prompted that you've reached a limit regarding devices.
To clarify, what is the message you received, verbatim? Also, are these the steps you're taking to set up an AirTag?
Let us know and we'll continue from there.
Cheers!
