Can you still see Focus status in Messages if blocked?

I tried it on my phone and my sons. If you are blocked and share focus is still on you will see it.

If you are blocked, you're blocked, nothing will show.

I have been blocked for over a week and now all of a sudden I can see the “notifications silenced” message. I haven’t tried to message them but I think that would have been there before if it worked while being blocked.

If you have shared focus on they can see it even if blocked. Turn off shared focus if you don’t want them to see it.

I’ve been having the same issue and I know they blocked me.

I actually tried this. I blocked my number on someone else's phone then I silenced my notification. I could still see that notice message on the other person's phone that I have put my phone on Focus mode and that my notification is silenced.

Are you sure? Can I ask how you know? I’m seeing focus notifications from someone I’m pretty sure has blocked me… also only see green texts which may be an effect of the block as well. Have you tried this? Or do you just “know”?

Some folks are suggesting that focus status sharing works independently of blocking texts/calls. I see the Apple community specialist says that you cannot see focus status after being blocked but others say they literally tried it with two phones and they could see focus status even while blocked … so how did you come to know one way or the other? Just curious.

what do u mean by notice because I told this girl to block me and she said ok and now it says her notifications are silenced. so am I blocked

So even if ur blocked u can see notifications are silenced

I have the same question. I sent a text but it sent as a SMS (green) but I still see that the person has their notifications silenced. Was my number blocked or not?
