How can I enable Do not Disturb on my Macbook without enabling it on my iPhone?

I just updated my macbook software to macOS Monterey, and I noticed that when I turn on DND on my Macbook, it enables it on my iPhone as well. It wasn't doing this prior to the update, and I don't want them to sync like this. How do I disable this?

See System Preferences > Notifications and Focus

Down in the bottom left of the panel you will see a box labelled Share Across Devices. Removing the tick from the box will isolate your Mac from any Focus settings on your iPhone.

This setting, if selected, synchronises Focus across all of the devices signed into the same iCloud account.

As I understand it Focus can be the One Ring that rules them all, or each device can be set to carry its own ring, to continue the metaphor.

One device can be set to do its own thing and the other two you mention can be in partnership with Focus. Turning it off on the MacBook decouples your Mac from the iCloud Focus sharing setting just like turning off iCloud Photos or any other service on one device.

The iOS setting is at Settings > Focus > Share Across Devices [on or off]

Does this then change for ALL devices? Will this toggle on my MacBook then stop Focus synch between my watch and phone? I only want the MacBook to go into focus and stop alerting me while I'm screen sharing the same way Catalina did but I still want to keep the synching enabled between my watch and phone. Not one setting to rule them all.
