App Specific Password - Not allowed to generate - password incorrect error
I've been trying to generate a new app specific password to be able to use iCloud with outlook on my mac for almost a month now.
Initially it was working fine and then I suspect my app specific password expired. So i've tried to go in and create a new one through the appleid website. When trying to generate a new one, after having already logged into the website - it asks for my password again. Then it tells me that the same password that I used to log in with is not correct.
I tried resetting my appleid password to see if that would potentially flush out something and that made no difference. I've tried different browsers and different computers.
Same error every time, even though I am typing in the exact same password that I used to log into the appleid website with.
