itunes freezing when ipod classic is plugged in
my ipod classic freezes itunes when pugged in , i have changed the usb cord and still happens
when i plug in my ipod nano it dosnt freeze itunes , it only happens with ipod classsic

Is the classic also frozen when not plugged in, or if you reboot it and wait will it then show the normal menus?

Probably worth checking for fluff in the docking port. Still seems odd you cannot get it into diagnostics mode.

when i do as below
nothing happens when i did below instructions

left thumb around to the rewind button |<< on the left and hold this down together with SELECT for a further 6 seconds. Your iPod should now switch into Diagnostic Boot mode. Press MENU for Manual Test, then select IO > HardDrive > HDSMARTData to reveal your stats.
works fine not plugged in
i have ordered another usb cord , to see if thats the problem , but have tried 2 cords so far
