Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. It sounds as though you're looking for a specific setting on iPad. Please note that "System Preferences" isn't a feature for iPadOS, this is typically a feature for Mac or PC.

If there is a setting you'd like to change or need to review, you can perform a search in Settings app on your device that should lead you to it.
