I transferred all my saved documents to my new MAC from my old MAC. I received identical security codes on both devices and I can see the apps and the photos on the new MAC. However, I cannot see or find the transferred docs. All the document folders on the new MAC are empty.

If you used Migration Assistant to migrate, that created a new user account. Please exit your normal user account and then open the new user account and your data will be there.
Also, you did not tell us in detail the method you used to migrate and that would be very helpful. What we are looking for is how did you get the data from the old computer to the new iMac. The most reliable and quickest method is in Setup Assistant and Migration Assistant

Exit out of your normal user account and look for an account you did not create. Then open that account and you documents will have migrated there. For example if you had a folder on your old Mac called MS Word documents that folder will have migrated to the same location on the Mac you migrated to.
I used the Migration Assistant. How do I identify the new user account? Part of the issue is I had an old account on the old computer and I created a new account on the new one. But I did that. So if the system created a new account I do not know what it is named or where to locate it. Thanks
