Hello,
When I turn on my Imac the screen is stuck with the apple logo.
I tried to use the first aid in the recovery mode and I got an error.
I even tried to reinstall the macos but I cant because the hard drive is “locked”
I’ll be glad to receive your help
iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 11.6
Sounds like either the hard drive is not formatted correctly or worst it is failing.

At this point, if you can not see the hard drive to "erase and reinstall" then you need to make a service appointment at your local Apple Store or AASP, see > https://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/
