My Macbook Air has been fine for a couple weeks after purchase, but now does not recognize that it is plugged into the power adapter and says it is running on battery. Will not charge. Have tried both ports, new charging cable, tried different outlets in the house. Still nada. Is not charging, does not recognize that it is plugged in. Help pls.

yeah, I read all that BEFORE I asked the question. Oddly, when I did a software update, the problem resolved. VERY weird. However, I don't trust that the problem has been solved permanently, so I will have to keep an eye on it. It will probably happen again, right when it is too late to return the computer.
