How to record videos in .mp4 and not .mov

So I have been trying to move videos from my iPhone over to my pc and as long as I use this 3rd party program that supports.mic I cannot use it. I have tried to go into settings and change it to most compatible but still it records in .mov but it only changes it to jepg and not heic. How do I record in .mp4 please help. I have the iPhone se 2020 model
