iPad mini 6 with DJI Phantom 4 Pro V1 Connection issue

Recently I purchased iPad mini 6 to be used for Drone flying. Unfortunately, it won't connect to the DJI GO 4 App with the Radio Control. I understand this is only with the Phantom 4 Pro V1 and Inspire series drones. I had called Apple support and they could not help saying Go4 App is a third party App. DJI does not look interested in resolving the issue. DJI and Apple should work together and resolve this issue. The App connects with all other older versions of the iPad and iPhone.

Any Drone enthusiast have a solution to resolve this issue?

I have the exact same issue, I keep getting the canned response of “iPad Mini 6 is not on our recommended device list.” and I’m like, I get that, but when are you going to make it work? I really want to make iPad Mini 6 part of my workflow, but it seems like DJI is just staying quiet on the matter which make me wonder if I should return my iPad Mini 6.

I normally fly the Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian.

What a co-incidence. I too fly the P4P Obsidian.

Finally DJI has acknowledged the issue. According to DJI the latest iOS 15 has

changed the requirement of the device's power supply, there may be some

discrepancy in the actual power supply between some iPads with the DJI Remote

Controller.

DJI is working on this and let us hope this issue is resolved as soon as possible.

DJI suggested a temporary solution to use a charger or portable power supply to charge

the remote control while trying to connect the iPad. When the remote control is

successfully connected to the iPad, you can remove the charger

or portable power supply. This solution does not work for me with iPad Mini 6. Please let me know if it works for you.
