Copy and paste doesn't work in notes app

I saw a similar thread from about a year ago, but since upgrading to Monterey I have been unable to copy/paste in the notes app when notes are open in list view. A viable workaround is to double click on a note to open it in a separate window, but ideally I shouldn't have to open notes individually to use a basic copy/paste function. Is there a fix for this?

Cut and paste in Notes With the recent upgrade to Monterey, my Notes seems to have lost the ability to allow me to cut and paste text within a note. The highlight function seems to be modified: I can only highlight a contiguous non-blank section of text, and cannot position the cursor and highlight an entire line or section. This is just one of many changes I've run across in Monterey: it's a rather disappointing release of iOS. The kind of programming I came to expect from Microsoft back when I was stuck with PCs.

Notes, copy paste doesn't work Copy & paste does not work within Notes. Using copy & paste, different text from elsewhere in the note will be pasted and not the one I marked. This issue starts after some time once I started the app, anywhere from 2 min. to 2 hrs; I couldn't pinpoint the cause. I couldn't link the issue to a specific other app that might interfere, either. Once I restart the app, copy & paste works fine - until it doesn't as mentioned before. This problem exists for some time now (probably two or three years) across different OSs, currently running Ventura 13.0 on MacBook Air 2018.

Open multiple Notes at once? Is there any way to open multiple notes at once using the Notes app for Mac/Iphone etc? Using MacOS Big Sur. I have read somewhere to dubble click the note, but as you do - nothing happens, the note is still just showing in the main window. Been using Evernote through work for a while and it´s quite handy to be able to keep multiple notes open at ones for editing/comparing/read multiple notes at ones, (having a index list of projects in one note (separate window), and be able to search for and open the specific project notes in another. As of now it seems like I only can search and open one note at a time. Seems bizarre if this wouldn´t be possible, seems like a easy fix and pretty basic function to right click and choose "open in new window" or likewise. Anyone knows a solution?

FWIW, I have four installs of Monterey and I don't have a copy/paste problem. Unfortunately I don't know what is causing yours but it would seem to be an issue local to your Mac.

Not having any issue with Copy & Paste to/ or from Notes.

Do not need to open each individual Note to perform the afore mentioned actions
