the mystery of the book that just won’t go away At some point in the past I download Apple’s The Swift Programming Language, Swift 3.0.1 Edition. When I select Show iCloud Books it is displayed and I have found no way to delete it. Surely Apple does not intend for each year’s fresh crop of Swift publications to remain forever stored in their customers’ iCloud storage. How can I eradicate this book?

Go to your Apple account and look for Pre-Orders. Select the appropriate preordered book, then press “Delete”.
