When I erased and reinstalled macOS it created a partition

When I use disk utility to completely erase macOS and reinstall it somehow I got a Macintosh HD and a Macintosh HD Data

as well as update. When I try to erase these it’s simply says it’s erasing them and also creating them so I can never delete them
