Apple Watch won't pair manually, or at all.

What does it mean when I try to manually pair my Apple series 4 Watch with my iPhone and then the iPhone does not show the watch. I get the 6 digit Bluetooth notification on the watch but it does not show up on the iPhone.

Anyone experience this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
