MY APPLE TV 4K IS FIXED ON A PCM AUDIO SIGNAL

MY APPLE TV 4K IS PROGRAMED WITH AN INPUT AUDIO OF TWO CHANNEL PCM, PULSE CODE MODULATION. PLEASE ASSIST ME IN CHANGING THIS "PCM" TO BITSTREAM ALL DIGITAL AUDIO SIGNAL.

I AM USING THE APPLE TV 4K IN AN ATMOS, DTS-X 11.2.4 SURROUND PROCESSOR PROVIDING FOR A 3D OBJECT BASE SOUND ATMOSPHERE. PLEASE DIRECT ME TO A SETTINGS MENU TO CHANGE THIS. THANK YOU.

Apple TV 4K has 4 audio formats available:

  • Auto (uncompressed PCM Multichannel up to 7.1) or Dolby Atmos (in Dolby MAT format, when available)
  • Auto (uncompressed PCM Multichannel up to 7.1)
  • Dolby Digital 5.1
  • Stereo (PCM 2.0)

There is no unaltered bitstream option. PCM is the same quality, though.

PCM isn’t necessarily two channel. PCM can be any number of channels.

All audio output is digital audio signal.
