QucikTime Player only records my voice

Hi

I work as a UX Researcher and I use QuickTime Player to record our client interviews (with their consent of course).

Last 2 times that I used it to record Gmeet and Microsoft Team calls, it only recorded my voice, not the other person's. Of course I only realize it after meetings are over and there's no way to fix it.

I don't understand why it happens. I use my AirPods for meetings, but I make sure to change microphone to AirPods for screen recording.

Can anybody please help me?

Hi aytan112,

We see you're trying to record the audio from your meetings with QuickTime. With your AirPods selected as a mic it will only record what it can hear through the mic. You can try recording with the internal mic of your Mac and using your Mac speakers to conduct your meeting. That way the internal mic will pickup both yourself and who you're speaking with. Alternatively you might be able to find some third-party software to help you complete this task.
