Add Mobile Plan Option not showing up under Settings>Mobile Data

Hello guys,

I recently switched mobile service provider and trying to activate an eSIM from the new provider. However I do not see 'Add Mobile Plan' in settings. Here is what I see in the Mobile Data tab of settings

I don't understand how this is possible. There are no SIM restrictions according to Settings>General>About and my subscription with the old service provider has already been terminated. Software is up-to-date (iOS 15.2). The phone is also of course unlocked. I have also tried restarting the phone, many times.

Also, please don't link me to the Dual SIM with eSIM not working page, I've already been there many times, read it at least 10 times and it doesn't help one bit.

Thanks a lot for any help in advance.

Hello there lukaceys,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you have an issue adding a mobile plan to your device for an eSIM. If you have followed the steps in the article If Dual SIM with an eSIM isn't working on your iPhone and still have an issue, we would recommend reaching out to Apple directly by checking out this link to Get Support and they will be more than happy to proceed with additional steps.

Stay safe!
