iPad will suddenly go into a mode where it is mainly blank screen with loading wheel, then flashes the log in PIN screen then back to the blank loading wheel for a while. Only way to stop it is force shutdown. But that is a clumsy fix for a premiere product of a $3T company. Tell me how to make this go away.

Your iPad appears to be crashing and restarting.
That might be a software problem, but is probably caused by a hardware problem.
See if you can get a backup of the device, without it crashing. Try to preserve your data.
If you can get a backup, try a factory reset and then restore the backup.
If you can’t get a backup, and the local data will be lost here but what is in iCloud will be preserved, then try a factory reset.

Confusing when starting a new post, it seems to make you choose hardware and topic. I could not figure out what would have been a better category. I saw in other threads this kind of thing has happened to people when they upgraded to iOS 15 so thought it might be related. (And there were no replies to those posts... so starting fresh). Sorry/thanks :-)
This is the forum for the Monterey operating system used in late model Mac computers. Nothing to do with iPads (except for connecting iPad to a Mac for syncing and some other operations)
